A motorcyclist who died in a collision on Interstate 95 in Milford on Friday night has been identified by police.
At at 7:20 p.m., emergency personnel were called to a motorbike and truck collision on I-95 North. According to firefighters, the collision occurred right before exit 39A. The rider of the motorbike suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the site.
He has been identified as West Haven resident Victor Ryan Forbes, 33.
The exit 39A off ramp and the northbound side of the highway were both shut down, however they are now open.
According to police, a vehicle pulling a trailer veered between the left and centre lanes and struck a motorbike. The trucker wasn’t hurt while driving.
The truck driver failed field sobriety tests at the scene. He was detained and accused of driving while intoxicated by alcohol or drugs. On October 12, the driver is due to appear in court.
Both cars were towed away following the accident.
