In the recent chapters, we get to learn about Arden’s past and what made him detest Britton to the depths of his heart. Arden was hurt by the buttons in the same way that Joshua was and became the strongest out of his will for revenge. However, unlike his son, his actions took him down a different path.

The mages intend to take the Tempest from their possession and shape the history of the world.
The great Kaiden’s plans are in fruition, but some people are making plans on top of it. And one of those people is none other than Emperor Marcus, who wishes to put an end to the revolt. He is the survivor of the first revolt, the one where he killed most of his siblings.
While Marcus fully intends to come out unscathed from the revolt and even put an end to Arden, he won’t have much luck. Thanks to Joshua’s regression and his memories, he is ahead of everyone in the game. However, after learning about his once-absent father, Joshus has become unsure of how to face him. His answers will lie on the battlefield.

Return Of The Legendary Spear Knight Chapter 121 starts with Cersearin giving a warning to Arden. She informed them that his revolt against the emperor would lead to his death and that he must stop him. Certain wants him to wait till her memory returns, but he cannot stop, not with the history that he has with Britton.
We are then shown a scene with Marcus and the plans that he has for the future. The antagonist is aware that Arden has culled his desire for revenge for all those years but is never forgotten. He tells his attendees to prepare for the upcoming revolt so his position in history can be secured.
Marcus’s attendee wasn’t sure what the emperor meant, so he asked him to explain what he meant by the order. Marcus then describes the events that went by that led to the fall of Asgard and its king and the rise of their kingdom. He also declares that he won’t become a traitor in history and that Agnus will be the just warrior for the future to come.
