NWS confirms tornado near Sherrard, IL on Wednesday night

Meteorologists with the National Weather Service are surveying tornado damage today.
We now have confirmation that an EF-1 tornado did damage near Sherrard, IL Wednesday evening.
This tornado had winds of 105 mph and was on the ground from 8:00 to 8:09 p.m. It was about 150 yards wide and the twister stayed on the ground for about 8 miles.
Numerous outbuildings, some homes and about 50 trees were damaged from Mercer to Henry county in Illinois.
Fortunately no injuries were reported.
This tornado was on the ground near Cable and Swedona (Illinois.)
