Genshin Impact 3.4: Every Character Banner In The New Update

Genshin Impact 3.4’s character banners have been announced by developer HoYoverse thanks to the latest Special Program livestream. As is common practice with the open-world RPG, new gacha banners are added to the title with every new update. While some feature better chances at acquiring recently introduced characters, others bring back a few fan-favorite heroes for players to either grab for the first time or to increase their Constellation powers.

These character banners are live in the game for a very limited time, so players who want to guarantee the characters in their parties will have to struggle against the gacha system’s drop rates and maybe even choose between the featured characters. For instance, they had to choose between Raiden Shogun and Ayato in Genshin Impact 3.3. With Genshin Impact 3.4’s character banners announced, players may now have to choose between four of the heroes.

Genshin Impact 3.4’s First Phase Introduces Alhaitham & Brings Back Xiao

The first phase of Genshin Impact 3.4’s character banners will introduce Alhaitham to the game. The 5-star Dendro swordsman hails from Sumeru and is a top Akayademiya scholar. He is a key element in helping the Traveler save the region from the villainous plot the Fatui set up in the Nation of Wisdom. In combat, he will be able to create Chisel-Light Mirrors, which convert his attacks to Dendro. According to previous Genshin Impact Alhaitham leaks, he will focus on Elemental Mastery to increase the spread of his damage. The character rerun in the first phase is the Anemo DPS Xiao.

Yelan & Hu Tao Come Back In Phase 2 Of Genshin Impact 3.4

Phase 2 of Genshin Impact 3.4’s character banners will be focused on reruns of two fan-favorite playable heroes. The Hydro Sub-DPS and Support Yelan, and Pyro DPS Hu Tao will be brought back into the gacha for players to pull from. While Hu Tao has been a favorite for a while now, due to both her in-game personality and her high risks combat style, Yelan was introduced in mid-2022 to the delight of many. She was ranked as one of the best Genshin Impact characters of 2022, in fact.

Along with Alhaitham and Xiao in Genshin Impact 3.4’s character banners of phase 1, the 4-star Dendro polearm healer Yaoyao will also be introduced. While she will be able to be acquired later on from any banner – and even the Lantern Rite Festival – the odds of her dropping through both their banners will be increased. Yaoyao was announced back in the Fall of 2020. Here are all the new character banners in update 3.4:

• Alhaitham (Phase 1)
• Xiao (Phase 1)
• Yelan (Phase 2)
• Hu Tao (Phase 2)

With the exception of Sumeru’s Alhaitham, all the other featured 5-star characters are from the region of Liyue. This makes sense because Version 3.4 is to celebrate Genshin Impact’s Lantern Rite Festival in update 3.4, which happens in that region. As such, it is only appropriate that Genshin Impact 3.4’s character banners reflect the significance of the event.
