Floreciente block party kicks off Hispanic Heritage Month

Mariachi music filled Moline’s Floreciente neighborhood to help kick off Hispanic Heritage Month.
The colorful block party ran for hours, and organizers and attendees weren’t deterred by the rain.
The event was also part of Head Start’s Bridging Literacy event to promote reading.
