Fans win an overnight stay at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas before the big game
LAS VEGAS (KLAS) – The thought of waking up in the center of Super Bowl Sunday is now a reality for a couple of fans.
Ahead of this year’s Super Bowl, Courtyard by Marriott and Falcons running back Bijan Robinson teamed up to unveil the “Sleepover Suite” at Allegiant Stadium, where two lucky fans would be picked for an overnight stay.
The winners were identified as Jametta Barden and her son Chance Mack, who are being celebrated for their meaningful community work. The two will stay inside Allegiant Stadium the night before Super Bowl LVIII, and wake up overlooking the field. They’ll also be getting tickets to the game.
Barden told Nexstar’s KLAS that it was she who submitted her son’s name for the contest, seeking to reward him for his selfless charity work.
Mack is the founder of Unforgettable Soles, which provides shoes to underserved youth communities in the Atlanta area.
“I was walking past homeless people and I couldn’t always give money, but I could donate shoes,” Mack said. “That was the one thing I had an abundance of. That’s what caused me to give those away and I started asking my friends and that continued to grow.”
Barden, who added that Mack was a “great single dad,” said he deserves the prize.
“I wanted to make sure that he was celebrated,” she said.
It just so happens that the two are massive Atlanta Falcons fans, so it didn’t hurt that Robinson presented them with their gift.
“I’m so big in giving back and understanding that it’s much more and bigger than me,” Robinson said. “Understanding that I get to surprise fans of the Falcons, but these are such good people. Just me talking to them and understanding who and where they came from, who they are, it was such an honor for me.”
