Dhadak is a heartwarming tale about two young individuals who fall in love, despite the societal restrictions of the caste system. The movie revolves around Madhu, a lower-caste boy in love with Parthavi, the daughter of a high-caste politician. Despite the challenges, the chemistry between the lead characters, played by Ishaan Khatter and Janhvi Kapoor respectively. Madhukar Bagla, a boy from a lower caste, lives in Udaipur, Rajasthan, where he develops an infatuation with the charismatic and intimidating Parthvi Singh, the daughter of a high-caste politician named Ratan Singh. Despite her tough exterior, Madhukar confesses his feelings for Parthvi, and their love story begins. However, their relationship is soon tested when Ratan Singh catches them together at Parthvi's brother Godaan Kumar's birthday party. As a consequence, Madhukar and his friends Shridhar Watsar and Gokul are arrested and taken into police custody, while Parthvi is confined to her home. But, despite the odds stacked against them, Parthvi manages to escape and sets Madhukar and his friends free. Together, Madhukar and Parthvi flee to Kolkata in search of a new beginning, where they can start their lives anew. But, their journey is fraught with challenges, and their love is put to the ultimate test.
