Barry Andrews Dallas, TX Obituary – Cause of Death: In loving memory of Andrews Distributing co-owner Barry Andrews.
Andrews Distributing co-founder Barry Andrews passed away at the age of 77 on Tuesday, September 19. He was a beloved husband, devoted father and proud grandfather.
Barry was born to Jewell and Homer Andrews, in Electra, Texas, and raised in Corpus Christi. He graduated from Carroll High School and Southwest Texas State University in San Marcos.
Barry and his high school sweetheart, Lana married in their senior year. Together, in 1976, they had saved enough to fulfill a longtime ambition: owning a beer distributorship with Miller Brewing Company in their hometown. At 29 years old, Barry was the youngest ever awarded a Miller distributorship, his obituary read.
“Barry Andrews was a true lion of the beer industry with the spirit of a lamb,” National Beer Wholesalers Association CEO Craig Purser said in a news release.
He will be sorely missed.
