Almonte lived in New York. He was 27 years old. He had a loving mother, a job as a freelance IT tech, and a girlfriend.
Not just a lover, but one who is well-known. Bellamy, who was his partner, had been in “Spider-Man: Turn off the Dark” on Broadway. He had also worked on “Smash” and “Across the Universe,” among other things.
Sad to say, this same love potion turned out to be poison for Almonte.
Bernardo Almonte Murdered By Boyfriend Marcus Bellamy
On August 19, 2016, Bernardo Almonte was killed by Marcus Bellamy, who was also his boyfriend.
It looks like Bellamy strangled him to death in their Morris Heights, Bronx, apartment on W. 174th St. Almonte was found by the police around 4:15 am with blood coming from his head, according to reports.
Soon after, the police took him to the hospital right away. But the doctors said he was no longer alive.
Marcus, on the other hand, didn’t keep the murder such a secret. He even told his neighbors that he was wrong after killing his partner. He also wrote a mysterious message on Facebook that said, “Please forgive me. Because I love you, I did it. I love you all. I also loved him”

After a short investigation, it was said and charged that Marcus Bellamy killed Bernardo Almonte. He was charged with both murder and negligent homicide.
In the end, judge John W. Carter in the Bronx Supreme Court Justice took care of the case.
Almonte’s mother couldn’t hold back her tears when she told the judge that her son had been fighting cancer for 11 years. She told the judge, “I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. I was shocked to hear that, after God gave him a second chance at life, he had died because of something someone else did.”
On the other hand, Bellamy seemed to feel bad about what he had done. He even asked the family of the person hurt to forgive him.
Still, the judges found him guilty of manslaughter in the first degree. In February 2019, the former dancer was given a sentence of 20 years in prison and 5 years of supervised release.
Why did his boyfriend’s boyfriend kill Marcus Bellamy?
Marcus Bellamy says that he killed his boyfriend after getting high on crystal meth.
Bellamy said that he killed his supposed lover because he was high on drugs and got into a fight with him. Marcus told Bernardo’s mother, as he explained himself to the judge, “You asked me why. I used to smoke a lot of crystal meth with your son.”
He then went on to say why he was said to have thought Almonte was a devil. Bellamy also said that Almonte helped him get out of his depression and that he didn’t mean to hurt the person he loved most in the world.
The whole thing made a lot of people angry on social media. People on the Internet wrote obituaries for Bernardo Almonte after he died.
