An English actress born in 1985, Knightley has been acting since the mid-1990s, with a total of 62 roles on her IMDb list of credits. Over the course of her career, she has appeared in numerous blockbuster movies as well as many notable dramas, including films in the period piece subgenre. She has also been the face of Coco Chanel since 2006 when she replaced Kate Moss (via People).
