The man appeared to be cold after his dip in the river, but otherwise okay.

Since the City of Davenport activated its flood plan a week ago, the projected flood has risen significantly — and the projected crest date has been delayed.
The Mississippi River is now expected to crest around 18.5 feet on Sunday.
Major flood stage is 18 feet and the record is 22.63 feet in 1993.
The Rock River in Moline crossed into major flood stage and reached 14.88 feet before falling slightly to 14.8 and holding since around 9:30 a.m. It was expected to crest at 15 feet today. The record there is 16.5 feet.

Due to rising river levels, the City of Davenport is closing River Drive between 3rd and Brady to install flood protection.
The eastbound traffic detour is Brady to 3rd Street to River Drive, while the westbound detour is 4th Street to Harrison to River Drive.

Near-nonstop rain over the last several days has started causing some flooding near the river.
The Mississippi River is now spilling into LeClaire Park and over the sidewalk.
Right now, the river is just above 16 feet, crossing into moderate flood stage.
