Expected to be a drama shining light on the positive aspects of love because of it’s release around Christmas, it was far from what was expected of it. What surprised the fans was that the plot of the drama was not at all jolly and heart-racing as they thought it would be, but rather tilted more to the melodramatic side.

Cast of The Interest of Love
The Interest of Love K-drama boosts of a talented cast to work on this live-adaptation of the novel Sarangui Ihae (사랑의 이해) written by Lee Hyuk-Jin.
Yoo Yeon-Seok, Mun Ga-Young, Geum Sae-Rok and Jung Ga-Ram star in this romantic melodrama swooning the hearts of its watchers with their passionate acting.
Yoo Yeon-Seok
Playing the role of Ha Sang-Su in The Interest of Love, Yoo Yeon-Seok is a well-known actor who’s starred in many popular K-dramas like Dr. Romantic, Hospital Playlist and Hospital Playlist Pt.2 and Mr Sunshine.
Not limiting himself to the K-drama industry, Yeon-Seok has also played a role in New Year Blues, and is currently working on a film called “My Puppy”, set to release on March 1st, 2023.
This 38 year old veteran actor shows a soft side to him through his character Sang-Su, depicting the problems and hardships of love.
Mun Ga-Young
Best known for her role in the popular webtoon turned K-drama “True Beauty”, Mun Ga-Young had been acting ever since she was a child. Debuting through “To Sir With Love (2006)” as young Eun-Young, Ga-Young moved to South Korea at the tender age of 10 from Karlsruhe, Germany to start her acting career.
Playing the role of Ahn Su-Yeong in The Interest of Love, Ka-Young captures the hearts of many, with her acting in this romantic melodrama series.
Geum Sae-Rok
Being relatively new to the K-drama industry as compared to the rest of the cast, Geum Sae-Rok has starred in many well known K-dramas like “The Youth of May” and “The Fiery Priest”, showing her enthusiasm to her roles and script.
Playing the role of Park Mi-Gyeong in The Interest of Love, Sae-Rok expands her field of acting and showcases the persona of a independent woman in the 21st century struggling with the problems of love.
Jung Ga-Ram
Starring as Jeong Jong-Hyeon in The Interest of Love, Jung Ga-Ram too, like Ka-Young, debuted in the acting world pretty young. Debuting through the series “High Kick 3”, Ga- Ram secured a role in the hit drama “Love Alarm” and it’s sequel “Love Alarm 2”.
Also receiving the award of “Best New Actor” with the movie “Fourth Place” in 2016, Ga-Ram shows his professionalism as an actor through Jong-Hyeon’s character.
Synopsis
The story revolves around the sparking romance between 4 office employees- Ha Sang-Su, Park Mi-Gyeong and Jeong Jong-Hyeon.
All these characters having their own unique quirks and traits come together in Nara Bank’s Yeongpo branch and realize how even through these indifferences, there’s hope for something to grow among them- love.
