The new chapter begins with Ginny and her younger half-brother Austin living with her biological father Zion as she attempts to come to terms with her mother’s actions after learning that Georgia may have played a part in her ex-husband Kenny’s death.

Georgia wants to leave the unfortunate incident in the past as she has a wedding to plan with her new fiancé, Mayor Paul Randolph, but her past refuses to stay buried as another of her ex-boyfriends and Austin’s father, Gil, makes an unexpected reappearance.
