Rapper Latto ‘Hired a Trainer’ to Maintain Plastic Surgery

By William Rodriguez

Alyssa Michelle Stephens, known by her stage name Latto or Big Latto, has made waves in the hip-hop scene as an American rapper, singer, and songwriter.

While her music has resonated with fans, she has recently chosen to open up about a topic that some might consider taboo in the industry: her experience with plastic surgery. She has never shied away from expressing herself and connecting with her audience.

Through her vibrant presence on social media platforms, particularly Instagram, she has consistently showcased her perfectly shaped body, captivating followers with confidence and style.

Most recently, she made headlines with a daring nude photoshoot for Cosmopolitan magazine, showcasing her newfound confidence and celebrating her body’s transformation.

However, the rapper has chosen to go beyond the surface-level discussions surrounding body image and aesthetics by revealing her decision to undergo a Brazilian butt lift (BBL) and liposuction.

Latto keeps up with a trainer after getting plastic surgery

In a revealing interview with Cosmopolitan, the talented 24-year-old rapper behind the hit song Big Energy discussed her decision to get a cosmetic procedure and the importance of maintaining the results.

In the magazine’s July/August cover story, she detailed her surgeries, “I got a BBL in 2020. I also got 360 lipo. That’s on my stomach, back, sides, and whole torso.” She openly acknowledged the transformation she sought through these procedures.

However, she recognized that maintaining the desired outcome required consistent effort and a focused approach. Consequently, she decided to hire a trainer to support her post-surgery journey.

Rather than relying solely on surgical interventions for ongoing physical changes, she understood the significance of incorporating fitness into her routine.

The Grammy-nominated star acknowledged this in the interview, stating, “But then you’ve got to maintain it. So I just hired a trainer.”

By enlisting the expertise of a professional trainer, she demonstrates her commitment to actively participating in her physical well-being and making informed choices about her body.

The rapper acknowledged her thought process, admitting, “If you look on my Instagram, you’ll see I’ve always worked out — before and after the surgery. But I will leave early or not push myself as hard. Having a trainer holds you accountable.”

She recognized that having a professional to guide and support her in the gym would provide the discipline and motivation to sustain her physical transformation effectively.

After Latto’s admission to getting the procedure done and her decision to hire a trainer sparked a flurry of responses from fans on Twitter.

Another fan stepped in to defend Latto against the misrepresentation, stating, “That’s not what she said… don’t lie on my sister.” Her fans were determined to set the record straight and accurately portray her words, showcasing their loyalty and support for the rapper.

However, along with the supportive comments, there were also critical voices that emerged. One commenter expressed their opinion by questioning the choice to undergo plastic surgery and later resort to working out.

The comment read, “Interesting to see some opting for BBLs only to hit the gym later. Makes one wonder – why not choose the gym, health, and natural curves first before spending thousands on enhancements?”

Her openness about her plastic surgery journey and commitment to fitness has ignited a broader conversation about body image, self-improvement, and societal expectations surrounding beauty standards.

Latto encourages women to love their natural bodies

Latto’s commitment to promoting body positivity and self-love shines through her candid discussions about plastic surgery and embracing natural bodies.

In a recent episode of her 777 Radio show on Apple Music, Latto and her sister Brooklyn Nikole delved into their family dynamics and the importance of uplifting women in the music industry.

During the conversation, she openly shared her experience with plastic surgery while emphasizing the significance of loving one’s natural body.

Acknowledging that she has undergone some cosmetic enhancements, she confidently stated, “You know, I got a little work done on my body, whatever.” However, she clarified that she has never received butt implants, a distinction she wanted to highlight.

By openly discussing her personal choices while emphasizing self-acceptance, she aimed to encourage young women to embrace and love their natural bodies.

Addressing her listeners, Latto spoke directly to young girls and women, imparting wisdom based on her own experiences: “To all the young girls listening, all the women attending right now. I’m telling you from someone who’s been there, done it.

Find peace within your natural state. Because you’re going to find a flaw and another flaw and another flaw and another flaw. Surgery, any of that stuff is not a permanent fix.”

Her words carry a powerful reminder that external alterations may not lead to lasting satisfaction and that true happiness comes from self-acceptance and self-love.
