Paul Baloche is an American Christian music artist, worship leader, and singer-songwriter. He was the worship pastor at Community Christian Fellowship in Lindale, Texas for 26 years. He is one of the authors for Compassionart, a charity established by Martin Smith from Delirious.

Baloche started his music career as a worship pastor at the Community Christian Fellowship Church in Lindale, Smith County, Texas, in 1989 and remained there until 2015, when he relocated to New York City. He released his debut album, He Is Faithful, in 1992. Over the years, he has garnered multiple Dove Awards.

His song “Above All” was nominated for Song of the Year at the Dove Awards in both 2002 and 2003, while Michael W. Smith’s version of the same song won Inspirational Recorded Song of the Year in 2002.

In 2002, he was nominated for Songwriter of the Year. He received a Dove Award for Inspiration Recorded Song of the Year in 2009 for co-writing “A New Hallelujah” with Michael W. Smith and his wife Debbie Smith. Baloche has been a pioneer in the provision of visual educational tools for church worship teams.

Between 2002 and 2006, he developed The Modern Worship Series, an eight-DVD set aimed at helping church worship teams improve their talent and confidence.
