The life of Mr. Nong Suon is a story of overcoming oneself and circumstances, starting from the most humble living conditions. He was born in a refugee camp in Thailand on May 25, 1978, after the challenging days of his family fleeing their beloved homeland of Vietnam. Three months later, he and his father, Samic Suon, embarked on a journey to the United States in search of a new future – the beginning of a journey filled with hardships, but also determination and the will to succeed.
Education laid a solid foundation for Mr. Suon’s life. He was determined to earn a General High School Diploma to pave the way for a bright future, and he tirelessly expanded his knowledge at Rhode Island Community College. His eagerness to learn and his unwavering commitment to academic success were evident in each degree he diligently pursued.

His wife, Mrs. Molly Suon, is his first and only life partner. She is a strong pillar and a guiding light on his path forward. Her deep love and compassion provide him with tremendous strength to overcome all the obstacles on his dream journey.
His two sons, Nath Nheuk and Neath Suon, are the pride of the family. They admire and respect their father deeply. They have vowed to follow in his footsteps, live up to the family name, and bring honor to their lineage. Their first-born daughter, Linnea Suon, was born on June 12, like a gift from heaven, bringing immense joy to the entire family.
In addition, he has a talented older sister, Ariel Forte, who has always been there to encourage and support him, helping him overcome all difficulties. The deep family bond has helped Mr. Suon stay steadfast on the path to realizing his life’s dreams.

Information about Nong Suon’s Passing
On Saturday, March 12th, the Rhode Island community received the heartbreaking news of the sudden passing of Mr. Nong Suon, 43 years old, at the Rhode Island Hospital.
Mr. Nong Suon resided in Cranston, Rhode Island, with his beloved family. He was at an age of maturity, full of health and enthusiasm for his work. However, in the blink of an eye, he departed forever, leaving an irreplaceable void for his wife, children, and loved ones.
The exact cause of his death is yet to be clarified by medical professionals. His family revealed that he suddenly displayed critical symptoms while at work. Immediately, he was rushed to Rhode Island Hospital in a deep coma. The doctors made every effort to save him, but sadly, he did not make it.
The abrupt and unexpected departure of Mr. Nong Suon has left his family and friends in deep shock and sorrow. The Rhode Island community mourns the loss of this vibrant individual in the prime of his life.

According to the family’s wishes, Mr. Nong Suon will be cremated at the White Dove Crematory following a private viewing by close family and friends.
His funeral service will be held with dignity at 10 a.m. on Monday, March 20th, at the Royal Funeral Home. The family expresses heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has shown deep affection and concern for Mr. Suon in these past days.
In remembrance and honor of Mr. Nong Suon’s significant contributions, the family kindly requests charitable contributions to support the activities of the Asian American Health Forum and the Pacific Islander Organization, organizations that he passionately supported for over 20 years.

Now, with him no longer by her side, what will life be like? She regrets not being able to care for and encourage him more in his final days. Nevertheless, the image of Mr. Suon will forever live on in her heart – her first, last, and only life companion. May he rest in peace in the land of eternal bliss!
Mr. Suon’s children embraced each other in grief before their father’s casket. He was not just their father but also the greatest mentor in their lives. His teachings about compassion, integrity, and responsibility towards oneself, family, and the nation will forever be etched in their minds.
