Meagan Martin Is Set To Featured In Jason Mamoa’s New Show “The Climb”
Meagan Martin, American Ninja Warrior’s top climber, is getting ready to host the new show The Climb. This is a new show created by Jason Mamoa of Aquaman and famous mountain climber Chris Sharma. Meagan grew up doing gymnastics and pole vaulting, but her real passion has always been rock climbing. After graduating from college, she decided to pursue a career in mountain climbing. She will appear on HBO Max’s The Climb after appearing on series like American Ninja Warrior for seven seasons.

Meagan, homeschooled, started participating in gymnastics at the age of 5. When she was in elementary school, her mother made her read for an hour a day. Meagan started reading while climbing a tree, which sparked her passion for sports growing up. Meagan says that growing up as a gymnast, she used to climb on objects in the gym while “playing pranks”.
Meagan started climbing at the Aiguille Rock Climbing Center at the Orlando Gym. Meagan joined the gym’s climbing team along with eight other young men. When she was in her freshman year of high school, she also tried pole vaulting for the first time.
She shared her own story, saying she wasn’t very interested in trying pole vaulting but did so because her mother believed she should. Meagan went on to say that she enjoyed it and that climbing and gymnastics both helped her transition to pole vaulting.

“Gymnastics gave me the body awareness, speed, strength and acrobatic ability needed to be a successful pole vaulter. I believe climbing has kept me healthy after I stopped doing gymnastics, so I have more strength to devote to pole vaulting.”

Meagan realized she wanted to get back into rock climbing and make it a career after graduating from college at the end of her junior year. Meagan’s personal highlights of 2020 include her fiancé proposing to her while they’re hiking. Her then-boyfriend proposed to her at the aptly named Lover’s Leap. She shows off her new ring in an Instagram photo and her hands are covered in rock climbing chalk. Meagan and her current husband will get married in 2021 after elopement. Here’s what Jason Mamoa had to say about Meagan Martin ahead of her debut on the new HBO show:
“We decided to launch a competition to motivate the next generation of climbers. We have also recruited climbing champion Meagan Martin.”
Megan Martin’s American Ninja Warrior Journey
Meagan Martin won the American Ninja Warrior in 2014, being the first rookie to complete the qualifying course and the third woman to climb the warping wall. At the National Finals that year, she also made history by becoming the first girl to successfully complete Stage 1’s half-pipe and spider attack. Meagan has joined the ANW every year since. . That, has made history in the sport. Her career highlights include reaching the annual national finals and reaching three consecutive qualifiers. Throughout Season 10, Meagan was given various opportunities, including playing the season’s official poster girl. After joining American Ninja Warrior for five seasons and Team Ninja Warrior for three seasons, Meagan Martin got the chance to train American Ninja Warrior Jr.

Jason Mamoa, the guy who plays Aquaman, and Chris Sharma have teamed up to develop a new series of competitions in which amateur climbers battle for the grand prize of $100,000 and prAna funds. The Climb, an eight-episode series, will air on January 12, 2023.
