This athlete was born in Midland, Texas, on August 25, 1990, and can play first baseman, second baseman, and also third baseman. Funky Muncy went to Keller High School, which is located in Keller, Texas. He was drafted in the 41st round of the 2009 Major League Baseball draft by the Cleveland Indians. However, he didn't sign with Cleveland and attended Baylor University instead. From 2010 to 2012, he was a member of the Baylor Bears' baseball team. He also played collegiate summer baseball for the Wareham Gatemen of the Cape Cod Baseball League in 2010 and 2011. This Texan was drafted in the fifth round of the 2012 Major League Baseball draft by the Oakland Athletics. He made his professional debut with the Class A Midwest League's Burlington Bees. He was promoted to the Midland RockHounds of the Class AA Texas League, the Mesa Solar Sox of the Arizona Fall League, and the Nashville Sounds of the Class AAA Pacific Coast League after playing for the Stockton Ports of the Class A-Advanced California League. Munce earned his MLB debut in 2015 and, in 2017, signed a minor league contract with the Dodgers. This two-time All-Star team member debuted in the majors for them in 2018 and has remained there as of writing.
