Little Bogey’s Golf Classic, Coal Valley, will help QC families

By William Rodriguez

You can register today for SAL Community Services’ Little Bogey’s Golf Classic. The 28th annual outing will be held at Oakwood Country Club, 1067 U. S. Highway 6, Coal Valley, on Monday, May 13, a news release says.

For more information or to register, visit here.

Proceeds from this year’s Little Bogey’s Golf Classic will be invested in children, families, and individuals through SAL’s high-quality early care and education programs, child care resource and referral programs, and services for immigrants, refugees and English-language learners. Money raised from the event will ensure that SAL can help communities across their bi-state, 17-county region thrive.

“SAL has been working in the region for more than 50 years, and today we have expanded our services more than ever,” said Marcy Mendenhall, president and CEO of SAL Community Services. “Fundraisers like our Little Bogey’s Golf Classic and charitable gifts help us to enhance our services and expand our reach in building a strong community for every family in our region.”

Last year, support from sponsors and community members contributed nearly $35,000 to support SAL’s school-age programming. Sponsorships and volunteer opportunities are currently available. Donations of prizes, silent auction and raffle items are also welcome! To sponsor the fundraiser or make a donation, contact Amber Wood at or call 309-429-5512.

Registration includes 18 holes of golf with a cart, food and drinks, contests, and more.
