18-year-old Liam McCoy died tragically on Sunday, September 3, 2023, as a result of injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident that happened following a police chase in Virginia.

“Last night my baby boy Liam McCoy, wrecked his motorcycle running from the police,” a post shared in a Facebook group named “Liam last ride” read.

“He was a good kid. He didn’t run because he had done something bad, he didn’t run because of drugs or alcohol. He ran because he was a scared 18 yo kid who just bought a motorcycle that wasn’t registered yet, and he was trying to get it home. It cost him his life. He absolutely loved motorcycles. His brother and I want to go on one last ride with him, and we want to invite as many riders as we can find to be there with us.”
