Characterization of Orange Cassidy as a Wrestler in the Professional Ring

Since Cipperly has been working as a professional wrestler for more than ten years, he changed his ring name to the one he uses now around the year 2007. His “Orange Cassidy” persona is inspired on a single scene from the movie Wet Hot American Summer, in which the character that Paul Rudd plays is featured.

In addition, the song “Jane” by Jefferson Starship was used as his entrance music on the independent circuit. This song was featured in the opening titles of the movie that was discussed earlier. In addition to this, the identity of the character played by Ryan Gosling in the film Drive that has yet to be named has been connected to him.

The name “The King of Sloth Style” has been bestowed upon him as a result of his sluggish movements and sloppy strikes. One of his characteristic moves consists of giving the opponent very light taps on the shins, which are sometimes referred to as “Slow Motion Kicks” or “Kicks of Doom.” He is also famous for his advertising that make no sense at all, such as when he defeated Chris Jericho in a discussion by focusing on his near-prodigious understanding of climate change rather than wrestling. His advertisements have gained him a lot of notoriety.

After making his debut with All Elite Wrestling in 2019, he has been hailed to as “the most popular wrestler in AEW” by a number of wrestling magazines. Tony Khan, who is also the owner of AEW and a co-founder of the company, stated that the executives at TNT enjoy his persona.

Orange Cassidy’s AEW’s Championship

Since the AEW All-Atlantic championship was first introduced at Forbidden Door in June, PAC has been the only promotion to successfully defend their title. When his most recent defence was assigned the primary event position on the Dynamite from Toronto on October 12, you could tell that his old rival Orange Cassidy might leave Canada as the second-ever All-Atlantic champion. This was the case when the Dynamite from Toronto took place.

After that, he struck the ramp with a Tombstone Piledriver, and it seemed as though Cassidy may lose by count out if the match continued. When Orange courageously entered the ring at nine, he escaped a Brutalizer but then turned back when PAC kicked out. This was the turning point in the fight.

However, Danhausen was able to stop the champion (who, by the way, still counts as one-third of the Trios champions) from obtaining the ring bell hammer, which resulted in the conclusion that we had been expecting. Even after the referee, Bryce Remsburg, snatched the weapon and PAC fetched a second hammer from underneath the ring, Cassidy knocked him down with a hard shot that stopped him in his tracks.

Orange took Remsburg’s counsel and chose not to get revenge on his friend Trent by using the hammer himself in instead to exact revenge on PAC, who had used the hammer on Trent in another defence last Friday on Rampage.
