Joshua Harris Death News: 41-Year-Old Man, Joshua Harris Killed in Fatal Shooting in Clayton, MO, suspect in custody

Joshua Harris, 41, was killed in a horrible shooting on Monday; it was Clayton’s first homicide in 17 years, and the community is in mourning over his passing. Joshua’s fingerprints were used by the St. Louis County, Missouri, medical examiner’s office to confirm his identity. First responders were unable to save Joshua from his injuries, and he died at the scene.

Clayton shooting:

A warrant has been issued for a suspect wanted in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred on Monday in Clayton, Missouri, according to the Major Case Squad.

Police are now looking for a Ferguson man who was charged with murder on Thursday in the shooting death of a Clayton man.

The suspect named Johnson, according to the authorities, was free on bond from St. Louis County for additional charges of car theft from March 2023.

Who is the victim?

The victim of a fatal shooting that occurred in Clayton, Missouri on Monday has been named Joshua Harris by the authorities.

Just before 5:30 a.m. on Monday, there was gunfire in the 7500 block of Wydown Avenue close to Hanley Road. Outside his house, Harris was discovered dead from what appeared to be a gunshot wound.

Joshua Harris, 41, who the police claimed was armed, heard a noise in his apartment that morning. He went outside to find a teenager and others tampering with his wife’s car, according to police.

Harris allegedly confronted Johnson while he was breaking into cars, according to court documents. Johnson is still at large. He should be believed to be “armed and dangerous,” according to the police.

About Suspect:
Trennell J. Johnson, 18, has been named by investigators as a possible suspect in the 41-year-old Joshua D. Harris’s death.

“Johnson is wanted in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred in Clayton, Missouri on Monday”, according to the Major Case Squad.

A warrant has been issued for Johnson’s arrest. According to police, Trenell Johnson is accused of both armed criminal action and second-degree murder.

Police say that he should be regarded as armed and dangerous and have requested anyone who recognizes him to contact 911.

Investigation continues:

The Major Case Squad is investigating the case in multiple leads. Officers placed evidence markers throughout the area, including one next to a flip-flop. Another officer searched for something with a metal detector while neighbors embraced, hoping for answers.

Major Case Squad said that, “We ask the community to join us in respecting [Harris’s family’s] privacy as they grieve. This remains an active investigation,”
