Jenna Perusich Is Going To Be Featured In HGTV’s New Show “The Great Giveback.”

The Great Giveback, a new home restoration show on HGTV, is back. Melissa McCarthy and Jenna Perusich, her cousin, will appear as remodeling experts on the show. The Great Giveback, starring Melissa McCarthy and Jenna Perusich, premieres Monday, June 13 at 9 p.m. ET/PT. Two “design-loving” women will appear in a new 6-episode series, bringing unexpected changes and makeovers to deserving families who wholeheartedly help others.

Who is Jenna Perusich? Melissa McCarthy’s cousin will provide expert commentary on The Great Giveback.

Jenna Perusich is a famous actress who has appeared in films such as Superintelligence, Thunder Force and Cafe Americano. Melissa McCarthy and Jenny McCarthy-Wahlberg are her cousins. Perusich earned a theater degree from Columbia University Chicago and moved to Los Angeles about 9 years ago to pursue an acting career. She also attended the Groundlings Theater & School to hone her skills.

She loves I Love Lucy because “she [the heroine] took her chance to be an artist and fight for what and who she believes in while staying true to herself. She has been a collector for quite some time. Perusich told HGTV about her I Love Lucy collection:

“Classic dolls, lamps, blankets, jars, salt and pepper shakers, you can name it, I have it all!” I started collecting in 5th grade and continued through high school when people gave me concert-related items for my birthday or Christmas. My favorites include a TV-style lamp that says “I Love Lucy” on it and a cookie jar with a picture of Lucy, Ricky, Ethel, and Fred sitting in an antique car. .

Perusich is a music fan, enjoying 80s rock and doo-wop. Her all-time favorite songs are Ronettes’ Be My Baby and Heart’s ’80s Alone. On the other hand, Dirty Dancing is Perusich’s favorite movie as it always keeps her interested in music, drama and dance. Perusich respects his parents, who have been married for 37 years. She learned a lot about art, design, fashion and music from them. She comes from a large family, however, she did not grow up with her cousin Melissa. When she arrived in Los Angeles, the two connected as adults. She told HGTV about her friendship with Melissa:

“Melissa and I have an 18-year age gap so we didn’t grow up together.” We became friends when I moved to Los Angeles, where Melissa was my mentor, providing invaluable professional advice and support.”

Perusich is in a relationship with Andrew, a television marketing expert. She met her boyfriend through a dating app during the outbreak, and they were “old-fashioned flirting” because they couldn’t meet face-to-face for a while and had to use FaceTime instead.

The Great Giveback was inspired by Jenna Perusich.

Property Brothers’ Drew and Jonathan encouraged Jenna Perusich to organize The Great Giveback with Melissa. Melissa was invited to introduce a home remodel to a relative on Celebrity IOU in 2020, and this is their first appearance on HGTV. They decided to renovate Perusich’s parents’ home. When asked about the Real Estate Brothers, she said:

“Drew and Jonathan are in the same boat. If they’re going to accomplish anything, they do it well and with all their heart. However, they don’t take themselves too seriously and know how to have fun.”

The sisters look forward to sharing the same chemistry as the show’s twin boys. On Monday, June 13, check out HGTV’s new home remodeling series, The Great Giveback. The show is also available on Discovery+.
