Goosebumps Episode 10: ‘Welcome To Horrorland’ Release Date, Spoilers & Recap

Disney+ is all set to end the 2023 version of the supernatural comedy Goosebumps. Last week’s episode ended with Slappy regaining his original body and heading over to destroy the peaceful life of Port Lawrence’s residents. 

Made by Letterman and Stoller, Goosebumps is an intriguing 10-episode series revolving around a group of 5 high schoolers who find out about the death of Harold Biddle. Harold’s death was somehow connected to their parents, further increasing their interest in the mystery.

Everything seemed to go back to normal after Harold’s ghost went away, following which Slappy’s “death” took place, too. However, it looks like the young adults still have a whole lot of cleaning to do around Port Lawrence before they can breathe a sigh of relief.

The cast of the Goosebumps series is made up of Miles McKenna in the role of James, Isa Briones plays Margot, Zack Morris plays Isaiah, Ana Yi Puig plays Isabella, Will Price plays Lucas, and Justin Long plays the role of Mr. Bratt.

Recap

The penultimate episode of Goosebumps 2023 had us all thinking that Slappy was not going to be coming back anytime soon, but just as we see in the books, Slappy always comes back stronger and smarter than he was before. 

Months after the horrific day when Slappy was presumed to be dead, the friends prepare to go on a short weekend trip to Seattle. Isaiah still feels confused about what he feels, while Margot is dealing with the dilemma of either moving to Seattle with her mom or staying back in Port Lawrence. 

As for Mr. Bratt, he writes a book about everything that had happened to him and sends it to a publisher in NYC. Everyone seemed to enjoy being in Seattle for a few days, but Lucas had a tough time moving on from the past and left the group to go back to Port Lawrence. 

Seeing Margot fit right in the Seattle vibe made Lucas believe that they weren’t meant for the same life, so he broke up with her before leaving abruptly. Despite having a strong writer’s block, Mr. Bratt completes the book and sends it to be reviewed. 

The NYC publisher ends up liking the story but has a problem with the plain and uninteresting ending. After trying hard and still not being able to come up with anything new, Mr. Bratt has the crazy idea of bringing Slappy back to life and making him the inspiration for the new end. 

Mr. Bratt chants the magic words, and Slappy immediately comes back to life. This time, Slappy wanted Mr. Bratt to bring a coffin and chant the words written on a piece of paper. What comes out is a decaying man, who is likely the human version of Slappy.

When Ben shows up at the house, Slappy turns him into a puppet. Now having a whole new body under control, Slappy leaves Mr. Bratt’s home to cause chaos within Port Lawrence.

For the Welcome To Horrorland episode, Isaiah and the others return to Port Lawrence after spending some time away from home in Seattle. Their fun weekend ends with a twisted surprise after finding out that their parents could be caught up in a new danger.

In search of his perfect ending, Mr. Bratt ends up helping Slappy get back his original body, unleashing a new terror upon the small town. The Goosebumps finale will be taking us to the one-of-a-kind amusement park from the books, where the friends will be putting their differences aside and fighting the evil in Port Lawrence together.

Release Date & Where to Read

Episode 10 of the Goosebumps’ 2023 series will be aired on November 17th, 2023. All-new suspenseful episodes of Goosebumps are released on Fridays, with each episode having a run time of 41-45 minutes.

The Horrorland episode will be coming out on Disney+ at 3:00 AM ET for viewers from the US. Hulu is another option for streaming episodes of Goosebumps, although some regions may need to use a VPN since it’s only available in the US for now.

Featuring Horrorland in the final episode might just be the perfect ending for this R.L. Stine-inspired series. Horrorland has some of the scariest yet intriguing attractions and rides, so it’s going to be exciting to see how they’ll be recreating the park in Goosebump’s final episode.
