Felecia Richey, Tysin and Bentley Death; Pregnant Woman, Her Two Sons Found Dead In Camper At Motocross Race
At the Inman Motocross track in Inman, Kansas, a pregnant woman and her two sons were discovered dead on Sunday inside their trailer, according to authorities.
Family members stated that Felecia Richey, 31, and her sons Tysin, 13, and Bentley, 10, were thought to have died from carbon monoxide poisoning.
“This was an unexpected tragedy and it’s just a huge loss for, I think, everyone that knew them and knew [Felicia], but especially the family is just devastated by it,” said Felicia Richey’s great uncle, John Pohlman.
According to the Kansas City Star, the McPherson County Sheriff’s Office verified the deaths and stated that an investigation is ongoing.
“The Sheriff’s Office responded to the Inman Motocross track for a report of three deceased persons in a camper,” the sheriff’s office said in a statement.
“When the Inman Fire Department and McPherson EMS personnel came, they established the three victims’ demise.
The Inman Police Department is assisting the Sheriff’s Office in their investigation into this tragedy. At a later date, more information about the investigation will be made public.
According to a GoFundMe page created for the family, Jason Richey, Felecia Richey’s husband, and their 3-year-old son are the only remaining members. It was not specified whether Jason Richey or the young child were inside the RV.
By Wednesday morning, the GoFundMe had surpassed its $30,000 fundraising target by more than $48,000.
