Elizabeth Chambers’ Early Life 

Born on 18th August 2023 in San Antonio, Texas, Chambers is close to her maternal grandmother, who is of English descent and was born and raised in India.

She attended the University of Texas at Austin, where she studied journalism. The University of Texas at Austin included Chambers in the “Outstanding Alumni” list in 2020. 

Elizabeth Chambers’ Career 

Elizabeth Chambers is a journalist, author, and television personality. Chambers started her television career as a correspondent on Current TV, a network founded by Al Gore that focused on progressive politics. She then became a news correspondent for Entertainment Tonight, E! News Now, and Access Hollywood. 

Chambers has played minor roles in the television shows Criminal Minds, Shark, and 2 Broke Girls and in the film The Game Plan. She was also featured on Food Network’s “Best Baker in America” as a judge and on three episodes of Chopped Sweets. 

In 2012, Chambers got the opportunity to open BIRD Bakery in San Antonio and then in Dallas in 2016. The bakery exclusively sells baked goods based on her grandmother’s recipe. 

Chambers is not the only person in her family who converted their love for cooking into a business. While her mother, Judy, opened the first natural food store in San Antonio, her grandmother operated a catering business.  

Chambers’ BIRD Bakery has collaborated with the San Antonio Food Bank and cancer non-profit Salood to raise money.

She also ensures that the unsold baked goods from her bakeries are donated to local non-profits, churches, The Fisher House Foundation, the Polycystic Kidney Disease Foundation, and the fire and police departments. 

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Chambers started ‘Vision Visors,’ a business that makes designer masks for children. Currently, Chambers is working on her first cookbook, which will pay homage to the recipe handed down to her by her grandmother and mother. 

Elizabeth Chambers’ Private Life

Elizabeth Chambers married actor Armie Hammer in 2010. She has two children with Hammer, and they reside with their children in the Cayman Islands. In July 2020, Hammer and Chambers announced that they were separated. Their divorce was finalized in 2023. 

The news of their separation was confirmed after several women made shocking allegations of sexual misconduct and abuse against Armie Hammer. Another woman alleged that she suffered emotional abuse at the hands of Hammer and had to attend a program for post-traumatic stress disorder.

After this news broke out, Hammer was dropped from several projects and his talent agency. Elizabeth Chambers expressed her support for the victims. 

Chambers married Hammer after a short romance and stated that, like any marriage, their marriage also had its ups and downs. When they started to drift apart, Hammer started an affair with a woman and had to confess it to Chambers when the woman threatened to tell her.

While they continued to work on these issues with a psychotherapist, Hammer abandoned his wife with their two children and moved to California. 

When the news of Hammer’s past affairs and sex life started to get released, Chambers decided to listen to the victims and hear their stories. She has maintained that she was unaware of her ex-husband’s sexual proclivities and offers support to victims of assault or abuse.

In a recent interview with Elle, Elizabeth Chambers affirmed that despite going through an awful ordeal, she refuses to be defined by it.
