Edwin Cortez Obituary Emmaus Car Accident: Emmaus High School student identified as victim in fatal Tuesday crash on Cedar Crest Boulevard.

On Tuesday, October 31, just as classes were ending for the day, a crash on Cedar Crest Boulevard close to Emmaus High School resulted in one death and other injuries.

The victim of the 2:30 p.m. crash, according to witnesses there, was a student. There were up to seven persons in the vehicle, according to witnesses, and at least three of them were transported from the site by ambulance. Several other individuals in the same car were also students.

The driver of the second car, who seemed to be the only person inside, stayed behind.

Shortly after the collision, the male victim was declared dead at the scene, according to Lehigh County Coroner Daniel A. Buglio. He claimed that detectives were still trying to piece together what transpired.

V. Paul Bernardino III of the Lehigh County District Attorney’s Office and Emmaus police were among the officials present at the scene who stated they were unable to speak.

Witnesses on the scene said that while school buses were leaving the area, the deceased person was given CPR by the bus driver.

Families were notified via email by the East Penn School District that counsellors were now available.

Between Pine Street and the Wawa entrance, Cedar Crest Boulevard was blocked, but authorities were getting ready to reopen the road just after six o’clock in the evening.
