Carmen Dolise Obituary; Roxbury Gaels Football And Baseball Coach Has Passed Away.

On November 28, 2023, in Newark University Hospital, a new life was welcomed into the world, and Carmen’s journey officially started. After moving to Succasunna from Maplewood in 1980, Carmen left a lasting influence on the community. He was raised in Orange, where he was born. Carmen was an avid carpenter and coach in addition to being a gifted athlete, coach, and sports enthusiast who attended Roxbury High School and graduated in 1986.

Carmen spent his early years growing into the man he would become in Maplewood. After relocating to Succasunna in 1980, Carmen attended the Eisenhower School before completing her high school education at Roxbury in 1986.

During his high school years, Carmen discovered his passion for baseball and football. He became a valuable member of both teams, leaving his mark wherever he went. Carmen was a beloved student at Roxbury High School and an exceptional athlete. Because of his dedication, composure, and passion for the sports, he enjoyed the respect of his teammates, coaches, and supporters. Carmen’s athletic achievement not only shaped his high school experience but also laid the foundation for his future goals.Carmen’s passion was carpentry, which he pursued full-time at the age of 19.

His skills as a carpenter, which he utilized to support his family and himself, are evident in the buildings he helped construct. Carmen was not just technically skilled, but his art also demonstrated his passion and commitment.

Coach was only the start of Carmen’s love for athletics. His coaching helped the football and baseball teams of Roxbury Gaels, and he was able to impart his knowledge, expertise, and values to athletes in his day. Throughout his career as a coach and mentor, Carmen instilled in his players virtues such as teamwork, persistence, and sportsmanship. Carmen was a devoted fan of many teams in addition to being an active participant in sporting events.
