Carencro, Louisiana Shooting: One Year Old Child Passes Away From Gunshot Wound On Saturday
A one-year-old child in Carencro, Louisiana, died from a gunshot wound in a tragic occurrence. According to the Carencro Police Department, on Saturday, October 28, just after 7 p.m., officers were called to a house at 237 Prejean Rd. in response to a shooting.
Officials found the small youngster wounded by a gunshot when they arrived. Prompt efforts were made to get the infant to a local hospital, but sadly, it was declared dead after it was unable to be saved.
According to the authorities’ preliminary findings, the incident happened while the father of the child was in possession of a pistol. A single bullet was unintentionally fired during this time, fatally wounding the youngster. The public is not informed of the father of the child as the investigation progresses.
