BTS V becomes biggest Instagram record-breaker within a day of IG debut

BTS V proved his impact on Instagram within hours of joining the platform. The singer reportedly broke multiple world records held by celebrities like Angelina Jolie, Billie Eilish and more. The Grammy-nominated group member became the fastest individual in Instagram history to get 10 million followers in less than half a day.
All BTS members dropped the biggest surprise for ARMY on December 6 by debuting on Instagram and becoming the fastest celebrities on the platform to get 10 million followers.

BTS V makes the biggest Instagram debut in history by breaking multiple world records
Kim Taehyung‘s legendary Instagram debut only further established the global influence that the ‘Sweet Night’ crooner has. He garnered 1 million followers in 43 minutes and 2 million followers in 61 minutes, reportedly the fastest individual to do so on the platform.
According to Guinness data, the fastest individual to get 1 million followers on Instagram was NCT’s Moon Taeil, who surpassed a 1M follower count within 1 hour 45 minutes. Though not declared just yet, Kim Taehyung’s IG debut has successfully broken the said record.
Moreover, BTS V broke Angelina Jolie’s IG record as well, gaining 10 million followers within 4 hours and 47 minutes, whereas the actress had gained 5 million followers in 5 hours.
Currently, BTS V has over 19 million followers on the social media platform, the fastest individual in Instagram history to amass the number over a day of IG debut.

BTS V’s current Instagram records
Along with follower counts, BTS V became the first Asian act to cross 13 million likes in a post within 18 hours, breaking Blackpink Lisa’s record.
Plus, the ‘Blue & Grey’ crooner reportedly smashed Billie Eilish’s record of clocking 1 million likes within six minutes by getting the same amount of likes within four minutes.
BTS V fans celebrated the groundbreaking feat of Kim Taehyung on social media by swooning over the new history that the singer made just within a day of joining the platform.
A fan rightly described, “Kim Taehyung came home & talking about his own ost, the next he is breaking records right after he opened an Instagram as the fastest and first BTS member & beating Angelina Jolie & Billie Eilish for fastest followers & likes. Proving he’s the SNS king! SNS KING V!”
