Faye’s Field, 18th Street near the library: Snow obstacle course.

Palmer Hills Golf Course, 2999 Middle Road: Sledding and cross-country skiing (limited ski rentals or bring you own)

GRAND FINALE, (2-5 p.m.), Bettendorf Community Center, 2204 Grant St.

Indoor snowball fight, pin the nose on the snowman, ice cube toss, snowy temporary tattoos, winter coloring, making snow bead bracelets. Movie “Frozen” at 3 p.m.

“It can be difficult to find fun family activities for all ages during the winter months, so the Winter Carnival is a great opportunity to get out of the house and enjoy the many amenities the city has to offer for free or at a low cost,” said Jillian Aschliman, library director. “The library is always happy to collaborate with the Family Museum and Parks & Recreation Departments for large-scale community events.”

“The Winter Carnival is a great annual family fun event with tons of activities for all ages to enjoy indoors and outdoors,” added Kim Kidwell, culture & recreation director. “The Family Museum, the Community Center, and the library are happy to host this event to help cure winter boredom.”
