If you were pursuing a relationship that you didn't want the tabloids to know about, he’d create another, fictional one, and then tell the tabloids where to get these set-up shots. And then the tabloids were so beholden to him repeating these stories, that they thought, ‘Well, why don't we just go with the big one because we'll get photos and then maybe an interview’.
